Special Equipment License Regulation Tightens, Accelerating Industry Consolidation in Valve Sector

2026-03-12

The "Announcement on Special Equipment License Application Status (2025 Batch No. 003)" released by the Zhejiang Provincial Administration for Market Regulation indicates that since the beginning of 2025, supervision over special equipment manufacturing licenses has continued to strengthen, and industry access has become more standardized .

According to the announcement, Boye Valve Group Co., Ltd. successfully completed the license renewal review for pressure piping component manufacturing in January 2025 and obtained approval for an additional manufacturing address . During the same period, multiple valve enterprises in Zhejiang Province, including Zhejiang Moenda Valve Co., Ltd., Haogong Valve Co., Ltd., Wenzhou Yuanshuo Valve Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Yikai Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd., submitted license applications related to pressure piping component manufacturing, covering different qualification levels such as A1/A2/B grade metal valves .

Industry experts point out that the strict enforcement of the special equipment license system is driving structural adjustments in the valve industry. As regulatory oversight intensifies, enterprises lacking corresponding qualifications and quality management capabilities will gradually exit the market. Companies like Boye Valve, which continuously pass license renewals and expand their qualification capabilities, will occupy more advantageous positions in market competition.

A representative from Boye Valve stated, "The company consistently prioritizes quality, strictly adhering to the Special Equipment Safety Law and relevant regulations while continuously improving our quality management system. Successfully completing this license renewal and obtaining approval for an additional manufacturing address is a strong affirmation of our compliant operations and manufacturing capabilities."

Looking ahead, as downstream industries such as energy, chemical, and municipal sectors increasingly demand higher reliability from valve products, special equipment licenses will become a basic threshold for valve enterprises to participate in major project bidding. Industry concentration is expected to further increase.
