Working Principle
The eccentric ball valve employs an eccentric wedge sealing principle. Inside the valve, a metal ball crown is fixed to an eccentric ball, and the valve opens and closes by rotating an eccentric crankshaft 90°.
When the valve opens, the ball gradually moves away from the valve seat, and the valve core is concealed within the valve cavity. This increases the flow area, reduces fluid resistance, and minimizes media erosion.
When the valve closes, the spherical surface of the valve core gradually presses against the valve seat, forming a reliable seal. Simultaneously, a shearing action is generated, effectively removing deposits or scale from the media and improving sealing reliability.
An axial and radial floating compensation structure is designed between the valve seat and the metal ball crown, automatically compensating for machining errors between the ball and the valve seat, ensuring long-term stable sealing.
Structural Features
1. Double Eccentric Structure Design
The advanced double eccentric structure minimizes friction during opening and closing, making operation smooth and significantly reducing wear on the sealing surface.
2. Metal Hard Seal Structure: The ball and seat utilize a metal-faced ring hard seal, offering excellent wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for harsh operating conditions.
3. Large Flow Area Design: When the valve opens, the ball is fully inserted into the valve cavity, ensuring unobstructed flow, low flow resistance, and minimizing erosion wear.
4. Self-Cleaning Shearing Function: During closing, a shearing action is created between the ball and seat, effectively removing scale or impurities, making it particularly suitable for transporting media prone to scaling.
5. Sealing Compensation Structure: A compensation allowance is provided between the seat and ball. Even after the sealing surface wears, a reliable seal can be maintained by fine-tuning the closing angle, thus extending the valve's service life.
